I was never a huge fan of Carlin's, and I didn't really know his work all that well. I assumed that he really was pissed off at the world and that's how he could pull of the act so well. But what I heard on the radio this morning was just as you've said here. He was a kind and gentle man, and the anger was all an act. I'm sure there are a lot of people grieving today.
